Fall Student-Athletes Earn USCAA Awards

Christendom's student-athletes earned numerous awards from the United States College Athletic Association (USCAA) to close out the fall 2023 semester, with six student-athletes earning All-American honors and twenty-nine student-athletes earning All-Academic honors.

The USCAA awarded All-American honors, voted on by opposing coaches, to multiple Christendom students for their achievements this past fall. Nora Ross was named a 1st Team All-American for her tremendous efforts during the women's volleyball season, while Sean Corcoran was named a 2nd Team All-American for his incredible season on the men's soccer team.

Three further student-athletes earned Honorable Mention All-American honors from the USCAA: women's volleyball player Regina Cousino and women's soccer players Catherine Thomas and Megan Lovar. In addition, Alex Girata finished in 11th place overall at USCAA Nationals for cross-country.

The USCAA also awarded numerous Christendom student-athletes All-Academic honors. To qualify, a student-athlete must be a full-time student, must have a minimum of 24 completed credit hours, and have a 3.5+ GPA.  Christendom had 29 student-athletes qualify this year, including: Elizabeth Kuss, Mary Noble, Thomas Cahill, Alex Girata, Eibhilin McCloskey, Regina Cousino, Catherine Brezinsky, Hannah Simpson, Angelina Fedoryka, Charlie Wychoff, John Hand, Joshua Cruz, Ryan Welch, John Hill, Michael Townsend, JP Tsakanikas, Megan Lovar, Isabella Rodriguez, Colleen Kosten, Erin Hatley, Mary Sabados, Anna Hsu, Christy Rodriguez, Julianna Beckman, Gracie Russo, Rachel Grande, Virginia Stahl, Catherine Thomas, and Mary Corcoran.

Sean Corcoran was named a 2nd Team All-American for his incredible season on the men's soccer team.

While men's rugby is not a USCAA sport and instead falls under National Collegiate Rugby, five Rugby student-athletes also filled the requirements of at least 24 completed credit hours and earned a 3.5+ GPA, including Nicholas Ward, Sam Kristine, Thomas Humm, Stephen Simpson, and Andrew Krolick.

These recognitions are the capstone to a landmark year for Christendom athletics, and their extraordinary accomplishments and hard work. Throughout the year, Christendom's student-athletes were given the opportunity to represent the college on a national stage, leaving it all on the field for "the love of the game and the glory of God."
