Baseball and Softball Stars Score Top Rankings in USCAA

After a scorching week that saw Christendom's baseball team go 5-0 and softball team go 5-1, the college's best players have burst to the top of the stat rankings for the USCAA. Leading in RBI totals, home runs, and more, Christendom's baseball and softball players are heating up just in time for the second half of the season.

The Lady Crusader softball team is currently in the midst of one of its best years, reaching as high as #6 on the USCAA's power rankings. That accomplishment is due largely to the incredible performance of the players on the field, including senior Nicole Feldman, who earned USCAA Player of the Week honors for her performance. In her final year of college varsity softball, Feldman is putting on a show, now leading the USCAA in RBIs (37), and ranked #5 in batting average (.561) and #2 in home runs (5). Senior Maggie Adams is doing the same from both sides of the field, ranking #6 in batting average (.548) and #5 in ERA as a pitcher (2.46).

On the baseball side, a stellar weekend of power catapulted sophomores Caleb Wilson and Michael Mersch to the top of the USCAA's rankings. Mersch is now tied for #1 for six home runs on the year, while Wilson is ranked #3 in batting average (.550).

The Crusaders are now 7-6 on the season, while the Lady Crusaders are 8-4, and ranked #12 on the USCAA Coach's Poll. Both return to action on Wednesday, April 3, playing at home against Penn State Mont Alto. Christendom will celebrate its senior softball athletes between the 5:00 and 7:00 games, while the baseball team will also play at 5:00 and 7:00.
