Crusaders Secure 2 Wins vs Williamson

Media, PA- The Crusaders traveled to PA this past Saturday, 4/22, where they took on Williamson Free Trade in a two-game series. The team was able to secure two wins, as they defeated Williamson 9-8 and 10-5 on the day.

Game 1- After a scoreless 1st inning the Crusaders' offense started clicking, the team putting up a four spot in the 2nd to take the early 4-0 lead. Williamson scratched a run across in the 3rd to make it 4-1, but the Crusaders kept rolling offensively as they put up five more runs through the next 3-innings giving them the 9-1 lead. The bottom of the 6th brought a major scare for the Crusaders, a combination of hits, walks and errors allowed Williamson to score seven runs, bringing the game to 9-8. The Crusaders were able to hold on to the one run lead through the last inning as they secured a close 9-8 win.

Game 2- Game 2 started rough for the Crusaders, errors and soft hits allowed Williamson to jump out to the early 3-0. However, the Crusaders bounced back quickly scoring seven runs in the 2nd to take a 7-1 lead. The team tacked on a few more runs before the end, the final score being 10-5 after five innings, the game was called early due to rain.
