Crusaders Fight Hard against Central Penn

It was a tough game offensively and defensively last night as the Crusaders fell 85-43 to #6 Central Penn in an extremely physical game. In a cold shooting night, the leading scorers for the Crusaders were Tommy Vander Woude with 10 points, followed by Michael Urankar with 8 points. Junior Patrick Pennefather displayed an outstanding amount of hard work all over the court, but especially under the basket, pulling down 13 rebounds. Along with chipping in 6 points, Freshman Luke Schultz controlled the lane with 3 blocks and altering numerous other shots in the first half. The Crusaders picked up the defensive effort in the second half, but Central Penn's schemed plays and skilled guards proved too tough to stick with consistently.

The Crusaders fought hard to the end despite the tough opponent and look to bounce back in a home game on Saturday, January 27 vs another tough USCAA opponent in Williamson College of the Trades at 1pm.

The Christendom Crusaders appreciate all the support out on the stands tonight.
