Crusaders Drop Close Game Against Williamson

The Crusaders lost a close game to Williamson College of the Trades this past Saturday at home, 55-48. The two teams were evenly matched, Christendom shooting 40.0% from the field while Williamson shot 38.8%. The Crusaders out-rebounded Williamson with a total of 32 rebounds for the game. Though the Crusaders never obtained the lead during the game, they limited Williamson's largest lead to only 11. Williamson was able to score 19 points off the Crusader's 13 turnovers, while only giving up 4 points to the Crusaders off of 6 total turnovers, giving them the upper hand in the game.

Patrick Pennefather led the Crusaders with 17 points and 7 rebounds, while Tommy Vander Woude pulled down another 8 rebounds for the Crusaders. Williamson had four players in double figures, led by Kyree Freeman with 13 points and 3 steals. Agustin Pagan added another 12 points to the tally and also 9 rebounds, while Jose Montenez contributed another 9 rebounds and 11 points.

The Crusaders return to the court this coming Friday to host Appalachian Bible College, tip-off at 8 PM.
