Front Royal, VA- The Crusaders honored seniors Owen Kennedy (Senior/ Mount Vision, NY) and Jack Hofbauer (Senior/ Woodcliff Lake, NJ) as the Crusaders picked up a win against the Sentinels of Patrick Henry by a score of 91-51.
The Crusaders played unselfish basketball and took care of business from the start of the game to the finish. The first half was controlled by the Crusaders, their lead hovering around 16-18 points for majority of the half. A small run from the Sentinels toward the end of the first saw the Crusaders go into the half with a 14-point lead, the score being 41-27.
The Crusaders came out firing in the second half, essentially putting the game away in the first 5 minutes, as the Crusaders extended their lead to 27 points in that duration. Kennedy would dominate the half, going 8-9 from the field and scoring 19 points. The Crusaders rolled on to a dominant 91-50 victory.
All 9 Crusaders got in the scoring column, with Kennedy leading the way with 25 points. Peter Ethridge (Sophomore/ Phoenix, AZ) and Dominic Smith (Junior/ Manassas/,VA) followed with 17 and 15.
