Crusaders' Offense Dominates in Win Against The Crown College 96-47.

Front Royal, VA - Christendom Crusaders Men's Basketball team beat The Crown College in an impressive victory 96-74, on Thursday, November 16th.

The Crusader's offense took off at the start of the game. Christendom's Daniel Shultz (Freshman/ Fredericksburg, TX) carried on the momentum with a dunk to extend the team's lead early in the game. As the Crusaders continued to push on the attack, The Crown College was unable to pick up their game on defense. As the half continued, Andrew Heisler (Senior/ Front Royal, VA), Peter Ethridge (Senior/ Phoenix, AZ), and John Paul Vander Woude (Senior/ Nockesville, VA) drained shots from behind the three-point line to secure a strong lead. The first half ended with the Crusader's on top 52-33 over The Crown College.

The second half brought similar results. The Crusaders were able to lock down on defense, creating many offensive opportunities. Steals from Shultz and Heisler led to impressive layups by P. Ethridge and Joe Ethridge (Freshman/ Phoenix, AZ). Later in the second half, Freshman Charlie Evich (Freshman/ Broadlands, VA) made a field goal from the side of the court securing the Crusader victory. With a bucket from John Fowler (Freshman/ Tempe, AZ), the game ended with a final score of 96-74 with the Crusaders on top. P. Ethridge led the team with 19 points in the game, followed by Bobby Vander Woude (Sophomore/ Nockesville, VA) with 14. Shultz finished the game with 11 rebounds.
