Five Christendom Crusaders will compete with some of the best rugby players in the nation later this month in the inaugural NSCRO Men’s 15s All-Star Conference Championships, taking place in Austin, Texas, June 22-24.
Christendom College took 4th at the Collegiate Rugby National Championship in Philadelphia this past weekend, falling in the semifinal round on Sunday after a hard-fought day of pool play on Saturday.
The National Small College Rugby Organization havereleased the schedule for its 7s Championship, to be held at Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia, PA on June 2nd-3rd. Pool Play will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, with Semifinals, Consolation Games, and the Championship Game on Sunday, June 3rd.
The field is set and tickets are now on sale for the 2018 NSCRO 7s National Championship in Philadelphia, June 1-3, where Christendom will be defending their 2017 National title.
On May 2nd, the athletics department held its annual end-of-year sports banquet. At the banquet, the athletics department honored our graduating seniors with personal plaques commemorating their years of participation in Christendom varsity sports, as well as honoring Sophomore Ian Heisler with his USCAA Player of the Week Award for his no-hitter thrown on March 3rd.
Crusader rugby will return to the NSCRO National Championship, after resoundingly earning a berth in the Central East 7s Qualifier tournament. Sweeping through their opponents, Christendom earned their spot amongst the best teams in the nation and will look to defend their 2017 National Championship this June.
The Christendom Crusaders handily won the 2nd annual Frassati Rugby Invitational on Saturday, March 24, defeating both Franciscan University of Steubenville and Ave Maria University on a muddy day in Steubenville, Ohio.
