A new sight will decorate the rafters of Crusader Gymnasium next Friday, October 6: the 2017 National Champions banner for the Christendom Crusaders rugby team. The banner will be unveiled during a special ceremony as part of the college's homecoming weekend.

The banner, which marks the first national championship for the college, will be raised at 7:00 p.m. in Crusader Gymnasium, with many members of last year's championship-winning team in attendance.
The Crusaders dramatically won the NSCRO 7s National Championship in Philadelphia this past June, defeating St. Mary's College in overtime in front of a packed Talen Energy Stadium. The championship capped the latest winning season for the Crusaders, which saw them go 12-2-1 in 15s play and 8-2 in 7s play during the season.
The banner raising ceremony will kick off the college's special 40th anniversary homecoming weekend, with alumni sports games following the ceremony on Friday night. For more information on Homecoming, please visit here.
