Crusaders Bring Home 3-1 Win vs Sentinels

Purcellville, VA – Christendom College Men's Soccer Team was victorious over Patrick Henry College Sentinels 3-1 in Wednesday's game.

The Crusaders fought hard and had control of the middle of the field throughout the entire game. Before the half, the Crusader's captain Joe Madigan (Senior/Lawrence, NJ) scored to give the team the 1-0 lead. Both teams played hard, and the score remained 1-0 at the end of the first half.

The Sentinels fought back, but the Crusaders remained dominant, by maintaining possession. The game remained 1-0 for the first 20mins of the second half, but in the 68th min. forward Aganze Nkere (Senior/Baltimore, MD) broke through the defense and buried the second goal of the game. Nkere's goal was assisted by Bobby Vander Woude (Freshman/Nokesville, VA). With just 9mins left the Crusaders found the back of the net again. This time it was Sean Corcoran (Sophomore/Lawrence, NJ) who put it away, the assist again coming from Vander Woude. The Sentinels were able to get on the board, scoring in the final minute to make the final score 3-1 Crusaders.  The Crusaders ended the game with an impressive 35 shots.
