Crusader Runners Dominate at Laker Invitational

McHenry, MD- Crusader Cross-Country traveled away this past Saturday, September 18, to run in the Garret College Laker Invitational.  The Men's 8k was scheduled to start at 10:30am with the Women's 6k to follow.

Both the Crusader teams performed very well in their respective races. Crusader runners finished first in both races, Noah Wollershiem(Sophomore/Raleigh, NC) for the Men and Margaret Kolesar(Junior/Cranberry, PA) for the Women. Wollershiem finished his 8k in an impressive 29:47 a full 2 seconds before the next contestant. Kolesar was dominate in her race as she finished her 6k in 28:43, a full 30 seconds before second place.

Men's runners Thomas Stanford(Freshman/Front Royal, VA) and Joseph Ellefson(Junior/Gallup, NM) also did very well, Stanford finishing second, with Ellefson behind him in third. Wollershiem, Stanford, and Ellefson showed a special display of talent and ability as the Crusader Men took home first, second, and third out of 32 racers.
