Crusaders Finish Inside Top 5 in Golden Acorn Invite

Staunton, VA- Crusader Cross-Country traveled to Staunton, VA this past Friday, Oct. 1, to run in Mary Baldwin University's Golden Acorn Invitational. The Women raced in a 6k while the Men raced in an 8k.

Both Crusader squads did very well at the Invitational. There were 21 runners in the Women's 6k and all the lady Saders finished within the top 15. Mary Rose Feuerborn(Sophomore/Lincoln, NE) finished 15th, Anna Schau(Freshman) finished 12th, and Margaret Kolesar(Junior/Cranberry, PA) ended with a 28:29 time to secure 3rd. The men also put up good results, with three of the four Crusader runners finishing top 10 of 20 racers. Joe Ellefson(Junior/Gallup, NM) finished 8th, Thomas Stanford(Freshman/Front Royal, VA) finished an impressive 3rd, and Noah Wollersheim(Sophomore/Raleigh, NC) finished with a 31:15 time, taking home 2nd place.
