Catherine Thomas (Junior/ Portland, TX) was named the USCAA DII women's basketball player of the week this past Tuesday, February 20th. Thomas was awarded Player of the Week due to her stellar play against two key USCAA opponents. On February 15th in a game against Central Penn, Thomas finished with 27 points, 20 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 2 assists. Then on February 17th in a game against USCAA DI Apprentice, Thomas finished with 37 points, 6 three-pointers, 12 rebounds, and 3 steals. This outstanding play by Thomas led to her receiving the USCAA Player of the Week award.
