The Crusaders Defeated Central Penn (7-0) and Lost To Johnson & Wales (2-0) Over Fall Break

The Lady Saders traveled away over fall break, taking on both Central Penn (Oct 24) and Johnson & Wales (Oct 26).

The Crusaders came out firing and hungry for the win against Central Penn.  Within the first 2 minutes of the match the Crusaders had already taken a dominate four goal lead, with 2 goals from Anna Solitario, one from Halina Hibhl and one from Sofia Hudson.  The team kept scoring throughout the first half, and by halftime the Crusaders had accumulated a 7-0 lead.  Having such a large lead the team took their foot of the gas as the second half ended scoreless lending to a 7-0 Crusader victory.  The Crusaders played two goalies in the match, Lucy Stanford and Melanie Heinlein, they had a combined six saves, the strong goalkeeping gave the team its third shutout win of the year.  This convincing victory was big for the Crusaders as it gave them their 10th win of the season.

Two days after the Central Penn game the team traveled south to play #3 ranked Johnson & Wales.  The Crusaders came out slow allowing two goals in the first 25 minutes of the game.  After surrendering the two goal lead the team cracked down defensively shutting down Johnson & Wales the rest of the game. The entire game the Crusaders had trouble getting anything going offensively, the team achieving a total of just two shots on goal.  With the 2-0 loss the Crusaders moved to 10-5 on the year.

Lady Saders hope to bounce back from their loss to Johnson & Wales in their final game of the season (Oct 30, 4:00).
