Crusaders Pick Up Second Win Vs Hawks

Front Royal, VA – Christendom Women's Soccer Team was victorious 3-2 after a battle in the rain against The Hagerstown Community College Hawks.

The game began with a slow start as the score remained 0-0 for the majority of the first half. However, the Crusaders broke through in the 40th minute, as Colleen Kosten (Sophomore/Warrenton, VA) put one in the back of the net with an assist from Isabella Rodriguez (Freshman/Mission Viejo, CA). Before the half ended, the Hawks responded with a goal to make it a 1-1 game.

Both teams came out strong in the second half. The Crusaders again went ahead with a beautiful goal by Catherine Thomas (Sophomore/Corpus Christi, TX) on a free kick. The Hawks were quick to respond, and by the 66th minute, the game was again tied at 2-2. The game continued with high intensity and anticipation. Before the final whistle, Kosten, assisted by Thomas, gave the Crusaders a 3-2 advantage. With the help of their goalkeeper, Miranda Keller (Sophomore/Harrisburg, PA), who had a total of 14 saves, the Christendom Crusaders defeated the Hawks with a final score of 3-2.
