Crusaders Score 7 Times in Big Win

Front Royal, VA – Christendom College Women's Soccer Team beat Patrick Henry College 7-0 in their home game on Wednesday, 9/21.

The Crusaders came out with intensity as the first half began. Within the first ten minutes, the Crusaders had the lead. The first goal being scored by forward Colleen Kosten (Sophomore/Warrenton, VA) assisted by Catherine Thomas (Sophomore/Corpus Christi, TX). As the game progressed, Christendom continued to dominate, and before the end of the first half, were able to score 4 additional goals. The goals were scored by Megan Lovar (Freshman/Odenton, MD), Mary Sabados (Sophomore/Pittsburgh, PA) and two goals from Thomas. The half closed out with the Crusaders up 5-0.

Despite aggression from the Sentinels, the Crusaders continued to control the passing game. After playing the first half as keeper for the Crusaders, Miranda Keller (Sophomore/Harrisburg, PA) scored the two final goals of the game. With these goals, the Crusaders were able to shutout the Sentinels 7-0. The Crusaders had 16 shots in the first half and 11 in the second.
