Crusader Fall 3-2 in Homecoming Match

Front Royal, VA – Christendom Crusaders Women's Soccer Team fell to Montgomery College 3-2 in their Homecoming game on Saturday, 10/8.

Despite a strong start by both teams, the Raptors scored the first two goals. Although trailing by 2 goals, the Crusaders continued to play hard. As the first half was coming to a close, Crusader's Colleen Kosten (Sophomore/Warrenton, VA) headed in a goal off a rebound from Catherine Thomas (Sophomore/Corpus Christi, TX). The first half ended with a score of 2-1, the Raptors on top.

The second half brought more exciting play by both teams. In the 60th minute, the Raptors put in another goal to make their lead 3-1. The Crusaders continued to fight hard and they were able to put in another goal before the final whistle. Their second goal was scored by Thomas on a free kick just outside the box. Christendom's keeper, Miranda Keller (Sophomore/Harrisburg, PA), finished with an impressive 10 saves during the game.
