The Lady Crusaders hosted their first home games of the season on Saturday September 17th against Lord Fairfax Community College and Appalachian Bible College.
The team came out strong against Lord Fairfax winning the first set 25-12. With the help of Sophomore Celina Albisu, who lead the team in kills, the Crusaders carried their momentum into the second set winning 25-13 and sealed their victory in the third set with a score of 25-15.
The Lady Crusaders next game against Appalachian Bible started off with close a 23-25 loss, but the Lady Crusaders stormed back to win the next three sets with at least a nine point lead in each set. Sophomore and libero Helena Briggs lead the team in digs for the day while setter Gemma McMahon dominated in the fourth set, sealing the team's victory with an 11 point serving streak.
The Volleyball team will take their winning streak and travel to Penn State Mont Alto and take on the very talented Nittany Lions on September, 22nd before heading to New York for their second quad match of the season at Suny Delhi on Saturday September 24th.
