The Lady Crusaders traveled to Mont Alto, PA on Thursday, September 22nd to take on the Penn State-Mont Alto Nittany Lions volleyball team. The Lady Crusaders played an intense few games against the Lady Lions, who had a 7-1 record coming into the match.
The Lady Crusaders started off strong in the first set, taking the lead several times, but were unable to keep the lead and get the win and lost the first set 24-26. In the second set, the Lady Crusaders fought for every point, and after many long volleys, both teams were only one point away from the win. The Crusaders were unable to take the lead, finishing the set with a close loss and a score of 27-30. In the third set, Mont Alto took the lead immediately. The Lady Crusaders fought and mounted a comeback, but were unable to overtake them and ended up losing to the Lady Lions in straight sets.
The Lady Crusaders look to avenge this tough loss when they travel to New York on September 24th for a USCAA Tri-Match with Culinary Institute of America, SUNY-Delhi, and Dean College.
