Volleyball Star Named USCAA Setter of The Week

Senior Gemma McMahon has been named one of the USCAA's Players of the Week, the sports organization announced October 3, 2018. McMahon is the Volleyball Division 2 Setter of the Week, adding another accomplishment to a stellar season from the Lady Crusader volleyball team.

McMahon was honored after her performance at the CCBC Essex Quad-Match in Baltimore, Maryland this past week, where she helped Christendom win all four of its matches and capture the tournament trophy. In the four matches, McMahon tallied 102 assists, 16 service aces, and 7 kills.

The Lady Crusaders are currently on a roll, securing their 10th straight win against Washington Adventist this past Tuesday. They sit at 12-5 on their season, and were recently ranked #3 in the nation by the USCAA, trailing the #1 seed by only a few votes. They will aim to keep that streak alive at the NHTI Tri-Match this weekend.
