Volleyball Star Commits to Christendom

Christendom College is pleased to announce the signing of Claire Mense, a senior Volleyball setter at Sante Fe Catholic High School in Lakeland, FL.  Claire is excited to head to Christendom and help lead the Lady Crusaders on their quest for another National Championship run.

While playing for the Sante Fe Hawks, she was voted 1st Team All County her senior year and helped lead the Hawks to their first District Championship since 1995.  In the championship game, she had 34 assists and 15 digs; and finished her senior season with 545 assists and 59 aces.  During High School, Mense also played club volleyball for the Tampa United Volleyball Academy Team.  As a 16 year old, she was the setter for the U18 team.

Mense was busy playing volleyball for Sante Fe Catholic, but she was also involved in numerous other extracurriculars while maintaining the highest GPA of all the volleyball players in the district.  Some of her extracurriculars include: Student Government Association, secretary of the Science Honors Society, chaplain of the National Honors Society, National Art Honors Society, and Mu Alpha Theta.

Claire is considered one of the top setters in Polk County and we are excited to have her at Christendom and representing Christendom on the volleyball court.
