On a sad day for many, Williamson bid farewell to their nine senior field players and one senior manager in their final game of their 2024 campaign. Try as they did to send the seniors out on a winning note, it was not to be, as the Mechanics fell to Christendom College, 6-1.
Christendom came out fast, as they scored just under three minutes into the game. They then proceeded to score three more in the next ten minutes to go up 4-0 just 14 minutes into the contest to put the contest out of reach.
It was fitting that Williamson's lone goal came from senior Giorgios Karasavas, off a brilliant feed from brother Marco Karasavas. That was as much offense as Williamson would get though, as they closed out the season with a 6-9-2 overall record.
We do want to take one last time to thank our seniors for all they did to build the program over their careers. Due to them Williamson was nationally ranked in each of the last three seasons. Equally importantly though was the tremendous representatives they were off the field and in the classroom as well. All of Williamson wishes them the very best in the future:
