Women’s Soccer Ranked #1 in the Nation for First Time in Program History
For the first time in program history, Christendom’s women’s soccer team is ranked #1 in the nation, as announced by the USCAA this week. The team has kicked off their season with the hottest start in team history, winning six-straight games with no signs of slowing down.

Christendom’s women’s soccer team is off to a historic start, currently standing at 6-1 on the season. After a tough loss in their first game of the season, the team has rattled off six straight wins, outscoring their opponents 49-3 over that stretch. A high-powered offense has helped lead the way for the team, with five Christendom players featured in the USCAA Top 10 for goals scored (including Theresa Luckey leading the league with 8 so far), while Serena Keller’s stellar defense in goal has kept opponents at bay. Keller is tied for the league lead with three shutouts on the season, along with being ranked #4 in goals-against average with a 1.09.
The team will look to stretch their win streak to 7 to close the month of September when they take on Patrick Henry College on the road on Monday, September 30.
In addition to this exciting news, each of Christendom’s fall sports teams also received national rankings over the weekend. The men’s soccer team earned a #8 ranking from the USCAA, while women’s volleyball earned a #9 ranking as well. Christendom’s men’s rugby team also eanred a #11 ranking from National Collegiate Rugby.
