Front Royal, VA — Catherine Thomas, one of the most accomplished student-athletes in Christendom College history, graduated as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2025, concluding a collegiate career that redefined excellence both in the classroom and on the field of play.

A dominant dual-sport athlete, Thomas competed at the highest level in both basketball and soccer, amassing accolades, records, and championships that place her firmly in a league of her own.

On the basketball court, Thomas was the driving force behind two USCAA Division II National Championships, earning four USCAA All-American selections, three all-conference selections, the ESAC Player of the Year Award and the coveted title of USCAA National Player of the Year in her senior season — a first in Christendom history. She was also named the 2025 ESAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year.

Her basketball career stats reflect her complete dominance:

On the soccer pitch, Thomas brought the same intensity and leadership, helping lead the Lady Crusaders to a USCAA National Championship game appearance and earning two USCAA All-American selections. She was named the 2024 ESAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year, capping off a decorated run as one of the most dangerous offensive threats in program history.

Her soccer career totals are also impressive:

Even with her demanding athletic schedule, Thomas consistently excelled in the classroom. Her academic performance earned her the distinction of Valedictorian of the Class of 2025, and she delivered the Valedictory Address at Christendom's Commencement Ceremony in May — a fitting capstone for a student-athlete who gave everything to her college in mind, body, and spirit.

"Catherine is the definition of a complete student-athlete," said Athletic Director Patrick Quest. "Her achievements in competition are historic, but what sets her apart is the way she led — with humility, drive, perserverance, encouragement, and faith. She's left a permanent mark on this college."

As she moves on from Christendom, Thomas departs with an unparalleled legacy: a two-time national champion, a two-sport All-American, an academic leader, and a true example of Christendom's mission in action.
