Crusaders Open Season With No-Hitter Against Williamson

The Crusaders opened their season by wining the first game of their doubleheader against Williamson Trade 8-0. Sophomore Ian Heisler shut down Williamson with a complete game no-hitter, allowing no runs, no hits, and only three baserunners. Earning his first win of the season, Heisler had eight strikeouts and allowed only one walk.

The Crusaders offense started their season strong as well, as they pounded out nine hits and scored eight runs. Kolbe Heisler, who scored a run, had three hits, and an RBI, and Michael Mersch, who scored two runs, two hits and two RBIs, led the offense for the Crusaders. A team offensive outburst backed Heisler's terrific game, as the Crusaders started their season off with a win.
