Crusaders Swept by St. Andrew's In Tough Game

In the second game of their doubleheader against St. Andrew's University, the Crusaders were shut out by the Knights 8-0. Junior Ben Dunphy started on the mound for the Crusaders, making his first college start. Allowing single runs in each of the first four innings, Dunphy kept the Crusaders in the game until the Knights scored four runs in the fifth inning. Matt Luca, who pitched a scoreless sixth inning, saw his first action of the year on the mound. The Crusaders were unable to get any offense together against six different Knights pitchers, who combined for ten strikeouts and allowed only four hits. Junior Josh Wilson collected two of those four hits.
