On Wednesday of the Crusaders spring break trip, the baseball team faced the College of Faith of Charlotte, NC in a doubleheader. In the first game, Ian Heisler started his second game this season for the Crusaders. Heisler continued his strong start to the season on the mound as he held the College of Faith to one run on only two hits and had six strikeouts over five innings. The Crusaders offense scored fourteen runs to back Heisler and take the first game of the doubleheader 14-1.
The Crusaders offense put the ball in play all over the field and exploded for 14 runs. Caleb Wilson had three hits, three runs, and three RBIs, while Michael Mersch added three hits, a run, and three RBIs to lead the Crusaders offense.
