Crusaders Defeat Patrick Henry On Senior Day

The Crusaders completed a season sweep of the Patrick Henry College Sentinels with a 95-43 win at home on Senior Day.  Christendom started the game with a 21-0 run and never looked back.  Freshman Luke Schultz led the way with a dominating performance, piling up 25 points and 12 rebounds in just 15 minutes of play. In his final home game, senior point guard Nick Santschi doled out a game-high 7 assists, and got a standing ovation from an appreciative crowd upon collecting his fifth foul with 3 minutes remaining in the second half.  The Crusaders spread the scoring across the entire roster; the only other Crusader with double-digit scoring was freshman Stephen Buonocore, who chipped in 10 points in 15 minutes.

Sentinels guard Colin Turner, who torched the Crusaders for 27 points earlier in the week, was held to a team-high 13 points on just 3-16 shooting from the field, due in part to menacing full court defense from Ian Heisler and Johnny Echaniz.

Up next for the Crusaders:  the Christendom men travel to Takoma Park MD, for a tough assignment against NAIA Division II Washington Adventist University at 7:30pm, for their Senior Night game on Thursday February 15.
