In one of the most thrilling finishes of the season, the Christendom Crusaders overcame a 17-point deficit with 14 minutes remaining to defeat the Central Penn Knights 79-75. The Crusaders, who trailed 70-59 with just 7:30 left in the game, closed the contest on a 20-5 run to claim a dramatic victory, thanks to standout performances from Bobby Vander Woude (Junior/Nokesville, VA) and John Fowler (Sophomore/Tempe, AZ).

The Crusader defense shone, as they held the Knights scoreless for a near 6 minute stretch, forcing Central Penn into several tough shots and securing key rebounds.
With 2:22 left, Fowler calmly stepped to the free-throw line and sank two crucial free throws to tie the game at 72-72. With just 1:34 remaining, it was Daniel Schultz who provided the game-changing play, grabbing an offensive rebound and putting it back for the go-ahead basket, giving Christendom a 74-72 lead.
The Crusaders would not relinquish the lead, as they closed out the game with strong defense and efficient free-throw shooting. Over the final 7:30 of the game, the Crusaders outscored Central Penn 20-5, turning a double-digit deficit into a thrilling victory.

Christendom head coach Joe Dotson praised his team's determination, saying, "Our guys showed tremendous heart tonight. We could have easily let that game slip away, but they never stopped fighting. Bobby and John were incredible down the stretch, and Daniel made a huge play when we needed it most."
