Crusaders Split Weekend Road Trip

Media, PA- The Christendom men's basketball team dropped a tough 54–47 decision to Williamson in its first game back from Christmas Break, as a late surge by the visitors erased a Crusader lead that held for much of the contest. Christendom trailed narrowly, 21–20, at halftime in a defensive battle before controlling the pace through the middle stages of the second half. Williamson, however, closed the game on a decisive run to pull away in the final minutes.
Christendom received balanced contributions across the lineup, led by Bobby Vander Woude, who finished with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals while logging 37 minutes. John Fowler added 10 points and 5 rebounds, knocking down three triples, while Luke Ross chipped in 9 points on efficient shooting off the bench. Daniel Schultz anchored the interior with 9 rebounds and added 6 points, helping the Crusaders control the glass for long stretches. Despite holding Williamson in check defensively for most of the night, Christendom struggled to generate offense late, finishing the game shooting 31.7 percent from the field as Williamson capitalized down the stretch to secure the 54–47 win.

Newtown, PA- Christendom responded emphatically the following game with an 82–71 wire-to-wire conference victory over Bucks County, never trailing en route to a bounce-back win. The Crusaders set the tone early with strong ball movement and inside-out scoring, building a 38–28 halftime lead before maintaining control throughout the second half.
A balanced offensive attack powered Christendom, led by Michael Vander Woude, who poured in a team-high 16 pointswhile adding 6 rebounds and knocking down three three-pointers. John Fowler followed with 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, directing the offense with efficiency. Luke Ross continued his strong play with 11 points, while Charlie Evich added 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals off the bench to provide energy on both ends. Bobby Vander Woudecontributed as a facilitator, finishing with 8 assists to go along with 6 rebounds, and Daniel Schultz added 9 points and 7 boards in the paint.
Christendom shot over 50 percent from the field and finished with 21 assists on 34 made baskets, showcasing unselfish play and offensive rhythm. The Crusaders' consistent execution and defensive composure down the stretch sealed the 82–71 victory, marking a strong response after the previous night's setback.
