Crusaders Win Big vs Washington and Lee

Front Royal, VA - The Christendom Crusader Rugby team dominated Washington and Lee 72-11 in a home match on September 30th.

As the game began, the Crusaders came on top first 3-0, with a penalty kick by Frank Woltering (Freshman). Christendom continued to play an aggressive game and put in the first try of the game. The Washington and Lee Screaming Minks responded by gaining 3 points off a penalty kick. Following the kick, the Crusaders offense gained incredible momentum. Chris Santschi (Junior) scored back-to-back tries. Santschi's tries were followed by three more from Christendom's offense, as well as multiple conversions. The first half came to a close with a score of 46-3, the Crusaders dominating their opponent.

Washington and Lee, barely hanging on, began the second half with a kick, adding 3 points to their score. Despite this, the Crusaders maintained control of the game. Philip O'Herron (Senior) scored the Crusaders' first try of the second half. Although the Minks managed to score a try in this half, Christendom's Rugby team dominated play for the remainder of the game. The final whistle brought the Crusaders to an impressive victory with a final score of 72-11.
