Men's Soccer Starts Season With A Strong Win

September 1st, the Christendom Crusaders Men’s soccer team started the season with a home opener against rivals Lord Fairfax Community College. Coming off an impressive 2014 season with the two leading goal scorers, Sophomores James Salmon and James Miller, the Crusaders were ready to take the pitch for another great season.

To open the game, the Crusaders scored two goals in the first ten minutes. After a hard played half, the score was 6-0. During the second half the Crusaders scored 5 goals. They were led by Sophomore James Miller with 3 goals, James Salmon with 2, Stephen Foeckler with 2 goals, freshman Peter Day with 2 goals, and Sean Salmon with 1 goal. Sophomore Keeper Richard Blank had an amazing game with 13 saves allowing two late goals. The Crusader ended the game with an 11-2 win.

The next Men’s game is September 4 at Crusader Fields against Berkeley New Jersey.
