The Crusaders showcased an impressive game, controlling the majority of the match. The team's persistent intensity on the ball, led to the first score of the game. Sophomore Isaias Odiatu (Sophomore/ Winnipeg, Canada) netted the game's only goal just before halftime, taking advantage of a pass from midfielder Tim Sheedy (Freshman/ Warrenton, VA). Odiatu's well-placed shot solidified Christendom's dominance in the match, giving them a well-deserved lead going into the break.
Entering the second half, the Crusaders maintained possession, capitalizing on the Sentinels' lack of control on the ball. Goalkeeper, Michael Vander Woude (Freshman/ Manassas, VA), was a key player, making several crucial saves and distributing the ball effectively to initiate offensive plays. His strong performance not only maintained the shutout but also helped the team maintain possession and rhythm throughout the match.
