Lady Crusaders Sweep Doubleheader

Playing under the lights before a large, cheering Christendom crowd, the Lady Crusaders picked up where they left off in the first game. In game two of the night, the Crusaders again took the W, with the final score 21-3.

Freshman Maggie Adams started at the mound and was relieved by her sister, Senior Annie Adams, a tricky left-handed hurler. The sisters combined for a total of 8 strikeouts in 5 innings.

Offensively, the Lady Crusaders racked up 20 hits with freshmen Annemarie Speer and Mary-Grace Handy leading the way, Speer with 2 doubles and Handy hitting 2 triples. After five innings, the final score was 21-3.

The Lady Crusaders next game is Saturday, April 2 at home vs The University of Valley Forge at 1pm and 3pm.
