In Game 2 of the double-header against Valley Forge on Saturday, the Lady Crusaders came out strong, led by Senior pitcher Annie Adams. The bats were on fire for Christendom, with 10 singles, several RBI sacrifice flies, and Freshman Nicole Feldman blasted a hard-line drive for an inside-the-park homerun.
Annie and her sister, Maggie Adams, who came in for relief, threw a total of 6 strikeouts. A 10-run fifth inning clinched a mercy–rule lead, and the Lady Crusaders completed their sweep of Valley Forge, 13-4.
The Lady Crusaders head next to Penn State-Mont Alto on Thursday for a 4:30pm game before taking on Sweet Briar on Saturday at 1pm and 3pm at Sherando Park in Stephens City, VA.
