Lady Crusaders End Season With Losses to Washington Adventist

In the first game of the double-header, Christendom fell to Washington Adventist on Sunday 17-4. The Crusader offense struggled against Washington Adventist's pitcher, Aliyah Stone, who only gave up 5 hits. The Crusaders defense made 11 errors on the game, contributing to the loss. Becca Byrne faced 30 batters from the mound, allowing 16 runs in her 4 innings. Sophie Adams pitched the last inning, facing 5 batters and allowing another run. Grace Wallace led WA's offense with 4 RBIs, including a home run. 

The Lady Crusaders looked to bounce back in the second game of the double-header. With the score 5-3, in favor of Washington Adventist, WAU's bats got hot in the top of the 5 th and they strung together numerous hits and scored 6 runs. Those 6 runs were costly as the Lady Crusaders fell 11-3. Commanding the mound, Sophie Adams' strike percentage was 56% in her 4.1 innings pitched. First game pitcher and now playing the reliever role, Becca Byrne took over the last .2 innings with 67% strike percentage.

With the 2 losses, it snapped the Lady Crusaders 8 game win streak and it evened their overall record to 10-10.
