Crusaders Roll Past Central Penn in Home Win
Front Royal, Va. — Christendom Women's Basketball delivered its most complete outing of the season on Friday night, earning a decisive 77–38 victory over Central Penn at home. The Crusaders controlled the game from start to finish, showcasing efficient offense, disciplined defense, and strong rebounding across all four quarters.
Christendom set the tone early, holding Central Penn to just six first-quarter points while building a 17–6 lead behind crisp ball movement and perimeter shot-making. The Crusaders continued to dictate the pace in the second quarter, extending the margin to 39–18 at halftime with balanced scoring and interior presence.
The third quarter brought more of the same as Christendom pushed its advantage to 58–30, using stout half-court defense and quick transition play to create separation. The Crusaders closed the night with another strong defensive frame, outscoring the Knights 19–8 in the fourth to seal the 77–38 final.
Christendom was led by a standout performance from Georgie Snyder, who finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, and five assists while shooting an efficient 7-of-10 from the field and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Mary Pennefather added 19 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists in a well-rounded effort, and Lucy Pennefather contributed 17 points, 12 rebounds, and three steals to anchor the frontcourt.
Up Next: With the win, the Crusaders improve their record to 2-2. They will be travelling to Virginia Beach next weekend to take on Regent before Christmas Break.
