Lady Crusaders Fall in Road Contest

Takoma Park, Md. — Christendom Women's Basketball battled through a difficult road environment Tuesday night but ultimately dropped a 66–44 decision to Washington Adventist. Despite continued effort and competitive stretches, the Crusaders were unable to overcome Washington Adventist's sustained pressure and second-half control.

Washington Adventist struck first, taking a 15–10 lead after the opening quarter before extending the margin to 34–19 at halftime. Christendom worked to regain footing coming out of the break, but Washington Adventist maintained control of the tempo and used consistent scoring to widen the gap heading into the fourth quarter.

The Crusaders continued to compete down the stretch, finding offensive contributions late, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome as Washington Adventist closed out the 66–44 win.

Lucy Pennefather led Christendom with 17 points and eight rebounds, providing steady production inside throughout the contest. Mary Pennefather added 11 points, seven rebounds, and three assists while shouldering playmaking responsibilities for the Crusaders.
