Lady Crusaders Control From Start to Finish against PHC
Front Royal, Va. — Christendom Women's Basketball delivered a dominant wire-to-wire performance at home on Thursday evening, defeating Patrick Henry 56–13 behind suffocating defense and balanced offensive execution.
The Crusaders set the tone immediately, jumping out to a 24–2 lead after the first quarter as they forced turnovers and converted efficiently in transition. Christendom continued to control the game in the second quarter, holding Patrick Henry to just one point while extending the advantage to 34–3 at halftime.
Christendom maintained its defensive intensity coming out of the break, pushing the lead to 43–10 after three quarters. The Crusaders closed out the contest with a steady fourth quarter to secure the 56–13 victory.
Mary Pennefather led all scorers with 29 points, adding a strong all-around performance that included rebounding, playmaking, and defensive pressure throughout the game. Georgie Snyder contributed seven points while facilitating the offense, and Sydnie Villarreal added six points and strong perimeter defense. Christendom's depth and defensive effort were evident across the lineup, as the Crusaders limited Patrick Henry to single-digit scoring in three of four quarters.
Up Next: With the win, Christendom improves to 5-3. They will turn their attention to their home rematch on Saturday against Apprentice, looking to avenge their loss in December to the Lady Builders. Tip off is at 11:30am, pushed up from 12:30 pm due to the expected weather coming in.
