Christendom Women’s Basketball Celebrates National Championship with Ring Ceremony
Front Royal, Va.- The Christendom College women's basketball team was honored on Saturday, February 7, with a championship ring ceremony celebrating its 2024–25 USCAA Division II National Championship. The ceremony took place at halftime of the men's basketball team's victory over Williamson, in front of a home crowd at Crusader Gymnasium.
The team, consisting of Coach Mary Minick, Coach Annie Heisler, Grace Hatley, Lily Vander Woude, Bridget McCaughey (Not Pictured), Regina Bonvissuto (Not Pictured), Mary Pennefather, Georgie Snyder, Libby Kolesar, Audrey Speier, Elizabeth Heisler, Catherine Thomas (Not Pictured), Serena Keller, and Miranda Keller all gathered at half court. Athletic Director Patrick Quest addressed the crowd and recapped the Crusaders' memorable championship run, highlighting the team's resilience, unity, and excellence throughout the season. Quest also recognized the numerous individual and team accolades earned over the course of the year, underscoring the historic nature of the program's national title.
Following the remarks, the championship team gathered at center court to unveil their rings, sharing the moment with teammates, coaches, family members, and fans. The ceremony served as a fitting celebration of a season that culminated in Christendom's second USCAA Division II women's basketball national championship.
