Saturday, September 5th, the Lady Crusaders had their first away game against Sweet Briar College. Having been defeated by Sweet Briar the past two years in a row, this match was sure to be a challenge and the start of the game was a bit rough for the Lady Crusaders.
It wasn't until Sophomore Bryn Burgess scored the first goal that the Lady Crusaders began to dominate the field. Freshman Mary Grace Handy finished off the win adding two more goals to the score. Thanks to a strong defensive line and performance by goal keeper Madeline Hill, they ended strong with a 3-0 shutout.
The Lady Crusaders are extremely excited to have accomplished this win and look forward to their next away game against Central Penn Thursday, September 10th.
