The Lady Crusaders Continue Undefeated Streak At Home

The Lady Crusaders Continue Undefeated Streak At Home
Saturday, September 26th, Christendom's Lady Crusaders challenged Trinity College at home.

The Game began with the Lady Crusaders coming out hard against Trinity scoring within the first 15 minutes from a penalty kick scored by Junior Anne Nelson.  The penalty kick was drawn by Sophomore Bryn Burgess, who took a shot on goal that was hand balled by one of the Trinity defenders. Being that it was a goal scoring opportunity and the defender's arm was extended from her body, the player was given a red card and Trinity was forced to play down a girl for the rest of the game. About ten minutes later, Freshman Mary Grace Handy scored the second goal of the game assisted by Sophomore Catherine Gaetano.  The Lady Crusaders continued to play strong for the rest of the half.

In the second half, Trinity began to step up their game gaining more control of the ball and having several shots on goal.  Although the Crusaders struggled to keep possession of the ball, their defensive line and Goal Keeper Madeline Hill held strong enough to finish the game with a 2-0 shutout.

The Lady Crusaders will play their next game away at Trinity College, Wednesday, September 30.
