The Lady Crusaders soccer team started off their season Saturday, August 27th with an away scrimmage against Mount Aloysius in Pennsylvania.
Going into the game with only 3 subs, the Lady Crusaders played extremely well the first half creating opportunities to score but were never able to finish. However, they maintained a strong defensive line along with an astounding performance by their goalkeeper, Madeline Hill. This kept the score to 0-0 at halftime.
During the second half, the Lady Crusaders were still unable to score while the Mount Aloysius Mounties were able to break down the defensive line and score 2 goals for the win.
Although the Lady Crusaders ended with a loss 2-0, they came out positive and excited for a great season ahead of them. Their next match will be a scrimmage at home against Penn State Mont Alto on Tuesday, August 30th at 4 pm
