Senior Captain Anna Solitario Looks to Gain Possession for The Crusaders, Anna Scored Twice vs. Potomac State

The Lady Saders defeated Potomac State of WVU this past weekend for their 9th win of the year.  The game started out fairly slow, after the end of the 20th minute the score was still 0-0.  However, in the 21st minute Freshman mid-fielder Sofia Hudson broke through Potomac State's defense and buried a shot to give the Crusaders a 1-0 lead.  The Crusaders went on to score two more times in the next 15 minutes, one form Senior Anna Solitario and another from Freshman Halina Hibhl.  The second half brought a scare for the team as Potomac State scored two goals in the first 7 minutes to make the score 3-2.  But the Crusader's defense held strong and Sofia and Anna both had clutch goals in the second half to ice the game for the Crusaders.  The team went on to win 5-2.  The Crusaders had already defeated Potomac State 3-2 in an intense game in early September.  Their past 5-2-win shows the Crusader's marked improvement over the season.  This win puts the team at 9-4 on the season and gives them the winningest season for Women's Soccer since before 2010.
