Hagerstown, MD- The Lady Crusaders came out on top this past Saturday with a 3-2 win against Hagerstown Community College!  A solid first game played by the Lady Crusaders, edging the Hawks.

The first goal of the game was scored in the twenty- second minute. Sofia Hudson(Junior) sent a perfect through ball to Christine McLaughlin(Junior) which Christine then beautifully placed in the lower right corner of the goal.  Although the Crusader had the early lead, Hagerstown fought hard and within the next few minutes of play, Hagerstown scored their first goal to tie the game.

The lady Crusaders were determined to reclaim the lead and in the thirtieth minute, Christine again came up big. This time she placed the ball in the lower left corner scoring her second goal, assisted by Sofia, making the game 2-1. Hagerstown was still in the game and proceeded to tie the game yet again 2-2 in the final ten minutes of the half.

The second half saw a hard battle between the two teams neither wanting to give up the critical next goal. Finally, with less than ten minutes left in the game the Crusaders had a breakthrough. Crusader goalie, Miranda Keller(Freshman), sent a goal kick far up the field where Mary Sabados(Freshman) headed it on to none other than Christine McLaughlin. Christine then proceeded to complete her hat trick, successfully beating Hagerstown Keeper for her third goal of the game!  Both teams put up a tough fight in the blazing heat.  Yet Christendom came out victorious!

A special shoutout to the Crusaders newest goalkeeper, Miranda Keller! Miranda made some amazing saves during this nail-biting match, tallying 14 total saves in her first ever college game.
