Lady Crusaders Win 3-0 in Homecoming Game

Front Royal, VA – The Lady Crusaders put on a show for the alumni and fans during the Homecoming weekend game against the Potomac State Catamounts. The girls were able take home the 3-0 win.

Christine McLaughlin(Junior/Fauquier, VA) opened the scoring in the 27th min., as she buried a scorching shot into the bottom right corner of the goal. Just 46 seconds later McLaughlin scored her second goal of the game. This was McLaughlin's thirteenth of the season. The Catamount's held off the Crusaders for the rest of the half, the half ending at 2-0.

As the second half began, Annie McGraw(Senior/Manassas, VA) turned on the jets! Just, four minutes into the half, McGraw beat the last defender, giving her a one-on-one with the goalie, which she beautifully placed in the lower corner of the goal making the game 3-0. The Crusaders worked hard defensively to maintain the lead they had built and as the game came to a close, they were able to complete the 3-0 shutout.!

With the win Crusader's Women Soccer advance to 4-1 on the season. The team is back in action this weekend, Saturday, October 9. Come out and support them while they play Hagerstown Community College in their last home game of the season!
