Front Royal, VA - The Christendom Crusaders Women's Soccer Team beat the Trinity Washington University Tigers 13-0 at home on Tuesday, 9/10.
The Crusaders earned an early lead eight minutes into the game when Catherine Thomas (Senior/Corpus Christi, TX) scored assisted by Julia Dejak (Sophomore/Ann Arbor, MI). As the half progressed, the Crusaders continued to dominate possession of the ball, keeping it largely in the offensive half of the field. By the end of the first half, the Crusaders scored six additional goals. These were scored by Thomas, Theresa Luckey (Sophomore/Front Royal, VA), Grace Hatley (Freshman/Grand Rapids, MI), Georgia Francis (Senior/Front Royal, VA), Juliana Taylor (Freshman/Linden, VA), and Mary Corcoran (Junior/Lawrence, NJ). The half ended with the Crusaders leading 7-0.
In the second half, the Crusaders maintained control of the game. Hatley earned a hat trick by scoring two more goals. Francis and Mary Curran (Freshman/Manassas, VA) also each scored in the second half. Claire Santschi (Freshman/Manassas, VA) scored the final two goals of the game. Curran led the team in assists with a total of five between both halves. The game ended with a 13-0 Crusader victory, increasing their winning streak to three games.
