Front Royal, Va.- The Christendom College women's soccer team delivered a commanding 3-0 shutout win over Patrick Henry College on Tuesday afternoon, improving their momentum in USCAA D2 play.
The Crusaders struck early in the first half when senior forward Megan Lovar found the back of the net, putting Christendom on the board with a confident finish. The team maintained solid defensive pressure, keeping Patrick Henry off the scoreboard throughout the half.
Christendom doubled their lead midway through the second half, when Lovar turned playmaker, setting up sophomore Ava Hudson with a clean assist that Hudson buried for the team's second goal.
Later in the half, Hudson added to her tally from the penalty spot, calmly converting to secure her brace and cap off the 3-0 victory.
The Crusaders' defense held strong for the full 90 minutes, earning a clean sheet and showcasing disciplined team play across the pitch.
