Bio
Patrick Quest is entering his 10th year as Director of Athletics at Christendom College.
During Quest’s time at Christendom, he has overseen exponential growth of the athletic program at Christendom. Since his hiring in 2015, Christendom Athletics has grown from 6 athletic programs to 11, with approximately 160 student-athletes.
Quest pushes all of his student-athletes for excellence in all areas, particularly in the classroom. Under Quest's leadership, an impressive 333 student-athletes have been named Academic All-Americans. Christendom has also won the Presidential Cup three times since 2019, when the award was created. The Presidential Cup is a prestigious award given to the college with the most Academic All-Americans, and whose student-athletes achieve the highest overall grade point average (GPA) in a given academic year. Winning the Presidential Cup is a significant accomplishment for any college or university, as it showcases the institution's commitment to academic excellence and the success of its student-athletes.This success is a testament to Quest's dedication to fostering a culture of excellence in all facets of life.
Christendom’s athletic programs have also seen great success during Quest’s tenure. Under his leadership, three teams have captured national championships (2017 Rugby 7’s, 2021 Rugby 15’s, and 2023-24 Women’s Basketball) and four have finished as national runners-up (2018 Women’s Volleyball, 2019 Rugby 15’s, 2022 Rugby 7’s, 2022 Women’s Cross Country). Additionally, Quest has overseen the development of numerous student-athletes, with an impressive 83 individuals earning All-American honors during his tenure. Quest's dedication to fostering a culture of excellence within the athletic department has been instrumental in the success of Christendom's sports programs.
In June of 2024, Quest was selected as the 2023-24 USCAA Athletic Director of the Year. This award was in recognition of his outstanding work throughout the past year and successes of Christendom’s athletic programs under his leadership. Last year, six Crusader teams made national tournament appearances, with the Women’s Basketball team winning the USCAA DII National Championship.
Overall, Patrick Quest's tenure as athletic director at Christendom College has been marked by a commitment to excellence, a dedication to the success of student-athletes, and a track record of achievement both on and off the playing surface. His leadership has helped to elevate the college's athletic program to new heights, and his impact will be felt for years to come.
