Lady Crusaders Topple Trinity for First Home Win

The Lady Crusaders won their first home game of the season Wednesday evening, topping the Trinity Tigers 50-32. Coming into the second quarter the Lady Crusaders led only by 4, but over the remaining 3 quarters would expand their lead continually, outscoring the Tigers 41-27. The Lady Crusaders shot 77.8% from the free throw line, and as a team pulled down a total of 61 rebounds. Bryn Burgess had a double-double, leading the Lady Crusaders with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. Grace Nyman contributed another 9 points and 3 steals, going 5-6 from the free throw line, while her sister Rose Nyman had 4 points and 5 steals.

The Tigers had 3 players with double figures in rebounds, Jayla Brown-Thomas leading the team with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Amaya Webb added another 11 points to the tally.

The Lady Crusaders will return to the court this coming Friday at home, for a 6 PM game vs. Appalachian Bible College.
